Axle is seeking a Scientific Program Analyst to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) located in Rockville, MD.

Position Overview
The Scientific Program Analyst will develop and implement updates to extramural research policies, resources, and training materials on the NINDS Intranet, ensuring content supports the unique scientific needs of NINDS-specific and NINDS-led trans-NIH initiatives. Responsibilities include drafting, editing, and publishing Standard Operating Procedures for multiple extramural research operations and processes, reviewing them in consultation with relevant NINDS staff to ensure the materials meet both scientific and policy needs, and assisting DEA with documenting, implementing, and coordinating follow-up on actionable items from monthly Operations meetings to improve the impact and efficiency of the extramural research workflow. A Master's degree is required; Certifications & Licenses are listed as Not Critical. Preferred fields of study include Neuroscience, Biology, Molecular Biology, Communications, Computer Science, and related scientific, technical, and communications disciplines, along with skills in writing, knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanisms, website content development, establishing collaborations, and plain language.
