Purpose of the role

To participate in the day to day operations of the technology function, working across a range of technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

Participation in design and innovation of products using the newest technologies.
Cross-functional collaboration with the business to understand their needs and convey them to the broader development team, ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Development of change and innovative solutions.
Collaboration with peers and promote a culture of knowledge sharing.

Analyst Expectations

To perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement.
Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise
Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise
They lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources.

Our Explorer Programme

You'll join our explorer programme, a 2-year programme designed to give you depth and breadth of experience. Participating in job-based bespoke training from the start enabling you to go fully-equipped into your role as you embark on the first of three eight-month long rotations.

Technology powers the way Barclays serves customers and clients. As a Technology Analyst, you’ll work with teams delivering digital platforms, infrastructure, data and change. You’ll build technical awareness, problem-solving skills and an understanding of how technology enables a global financial services business.

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll be motivated with a strong degree or expected degree achieved before June 2027.

You’ll also bring a genuine interest in technology, strong problem-solving skills and the drive to deliver innovative solutions.

Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK and will provide a skilled worker visa for successful applicants if they meet the Home Office’s eligibility criteria for a skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants who are not eligible to receive a skilled worker visa, and who we are therefore unable to secure a skilled worker visa for, will be required to have their own legal right to work in the UK on a full-time basis from August 2027 to August 2029.
