Mold Tool Design Engineer (Able to work Sep 2026)

This site is the integral manufacturing plant and R&D Center. It is the first smart factory in Thailand. It will enable us to respond to growing automobile production in Thailand and to serve international as well as local automotive customers on the spot. The supplier of technology and services is focusing heavily on connected manufacturing at the factory.

Manufacturing Plant: The Company is constructing its first plant of the manufacturing of gasoline injection systems in Thailand. It is capable of production 1 million fuel injector units every year. With the new fuel injector plant we are able to meet the increasing demand of our customers in the region.

R&D Center: The R&D office and laboratory are located on same site as production. In order to have dedicated laboratory accommodating automotive specific machine and equipment such as fuel testing benches and Noise, Vibration, Harshness chambers.

Job Description

• Technical project lead and design new tool, follow-up tools, relocation tools, release and correction process as well as new variants. 
• Create specification sheets, evaluate measurement report, create correction strategies and follow tool release process.
• Tooling improvement e.g. design improvement for series production or maintainability.
• Tooling problem solving and 8D report support.
• Technical supplier discussion e.g. spare part, new tool order, tool correction.

Qualifications

Education Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tooling, Mechanical, Plastic Engineering, or other related fields.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
• Professional experience in plastic mold industry, mold tools design and release.
• CAD software preferably NX, Professional evaluation of 3D scan preferably GOM, Basic moldflow simulation.
• Able to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good communication skills to reach out to customer/partners and internal.
