Job Description Summary
The Technical Buyer Analyst will be responsible for sourcing and managing direct and indirect materials, MRO, chemicals, hazardous materials, and other regulated items, requiring strong technical judgment to assess product specifications, transportation restrictions, EHS impacts, and compliance requirements. This role demands the ability to interpret technical documentation, challenge incomplete requisitions, coordinate with cross-functional technical teams, and make sourcing recommendations that balance operational need, safety, compliance, and supply continuity.

Sourcing Competencies:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
- Strong technical understanding of chemical products, industrial consumables, hazardous materials, and MRO materials.
- Ability to evaluate material application, compatibility, storage conditions, shelf life, handling risks, and operational constraints.
- Intermediate English.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, product datasheets, SDS/MSDS, certificates of analysis, compliance declarations, and transport documentation.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, chemical, logistics, or regulated industrial environment.
- Knowledge of EHS, product stewardship, import/export, and dangerous goods transportation requirements.
- Previous experience supporting sourcing decisions involving regulated, hazardous, or technically complex materials.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills to work with Engineering, Lab, EHS, Quality, Maintenance, and Foreign Trade teams.
The position requires a professional capable of understanding technical product characteristics, interpreting regulated-material documentation, and interacting confidently with specialized stakeholders to support safe, compliant, and operationally sound sourcing decisions.
