Retail Development Manager w/m/d (Licensing) - GSA and EMEA Agent Markets

Ready to bring some of the world’s most loved brands to life at retail? Hasbro Germany is looking for a Retail Licensing Manager w/m/d to lead retail licensing development across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria (GSA), while acting as the central Retail Licensing contact for EMEA Agent Markets.

Location: Frankfurt, with hybrid working Tuesday to Thursday in the office and flexible working on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates should check their commute before applying, as Hasbro does not offer travel or accommodation expenses for this role.

You will shape retail licensing strategy, customer marketing initiatives and key retailer relationships across Hasbro’s portfolio, including partnering with Hasbro’s licensing agent to unlock retail opportunities for Peppa Pig in GSA.

Across EMEA Agent Markets, you will guide agents and retail teams to build strong, commercially focused plans, share best practice and raise standards of retail execution.

Key Responsibilities

Bring Hasbro Brands to Life Across GSA:

• Create and deliver retail licensing strategies across GSA that bring Hasbro brands closer to shoppers and unlock commercial growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, buyers, category managers, and licensing teams.
• Develop customer marketing strategies and retail activation plans that support Hasbro's licensing and franchise priorities.
• Develop retailer presentations, annual account plans, and business reviews that translate insights into compelling growth opportunities.

Shape Retail Excellence Across EMEA Agent Markets:

• Be the primary Hasbro Retail Licensing partner for EMEA Agent Markets across the full Hasbro brand portfolio.
• Review and approve annual retail plans, ensuring each market has clear priorities, strong execution and accountability.

Build Best Practice and Scale What Works:

• Lead quarterly Retail Best Practice Reviews to share learnings and strengthen retail programmes across EMEA Agent Markets.
• Develop and maintain a Retail Licensing Best Practice Handbook that provides scalable frameworks, tools, templates, and processes to be leveraged across multiple markets.
• Build scalable tools, templates and ways of working that help teams turn great ideas into repeatable success.

Grow E-Commerce and Strategic Retail Partnerships:

• Partner with the EMEA Amazon Lead and agents to improve visibility, distribution and performance across Amazon and key e-commerce partners.

Budget Management:

• Own the annual Retail Licensing budget, tracking spend, effectiveness and return on investment.

Stakeholder Management:

• Act as the key link between EMEA headquarters, licensing agents, retail teams and retailers on retail licensing priorities.
• Collaborate closely with Category Management, Licensing Sales, Marketing and Franchise teams to align retail initiatives with broader business objectives.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Experience in Retail Licensing, Customer Marketing, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Retail Development or Consumer Products.
• Proven track record of developing retailer relationships and delivering commercial growth.
• Experience working across multiple international markets and managing complex stakeholder networks.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn insight into compelling retailer propositions.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment.

Education & Languages:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluent German and English are required.

• Delivery of GSA retail licensing and customer marketing objectives.
• Growth in retailer engagement and strategic partnerships across GSA.
• Adoption of best practices and retail capability improvements across EMEA Agent Markets.
