Essential tech skills:
- Design fundamentals
- CSS3, HTML, semantic markup
- Sass or Less
- Object-oriented JavaScript (Patterns, MVC)
- Frameworks (such as jQuery, handlebars, mustache, dust,play etc.)
- Restful Services (ability to consume these services as well)
- Browser and HTTP performance
- distributed revision control and source code management system (such as git or SVN)
- Cross-browser problem-solving
- Basic Java
