Position Summary

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for leading our warehouse, inventory, repair and logistics operations while transforming how operational data drives decision-making across the function.

We're looking for a leader who is equally comfortable reviewing operational KPIs, inventory trends and forecasting data as they are leading teams, improving processes and solving day-to-day operational challenges. Success in this role will come from combining strong operational leadership with a proactive, analytical approach to improving performance, inventory accuracy, customer service and cost efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day operations across warehousing, inventory management, repair operations and logistics, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of business objectives.

  • Own operational performance across the function, using KPIs, dashboards and reporting to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Analyse inventory, service, productivity and cost performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities and implement measurable improvements.

  • Develop inventory strategies and planning approaches that optimise service levels, inventory accuracy, working capital and operational efficiency.

  • Use operational data to improve forecasting, resource planning, capacity management and operational readiness.

  • Drive improvements to ERP/MRP systems, reporting capabilities and operational workflows to increase visibility, efficiency and control.

  • Develop and enhance dashboards, reporting tools and performance metrics that support operational and strategic decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, reduce manual activity and leverage AI-enabled tools to improve operational performance.

  • Lead warehousing, inventory control, repair, refurbishment and transport activities to ensure customer commitments and operational targets are achieved.

  • Build and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

  • Partner with Finance, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality and IT teams to improve planning, inventory management, operational performance and business processes.

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives, using data and root cause analysis to deliver sustainable improvements.

What You'll Bring

  • Significant experience leading operational functions within manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, service or repair environments.
  • A proven track record of using operational data to improve service levels, inventory performance, productivity, cost and customer outcomes.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting complex operational data and translating insights into actions.
  • Experience developing, using and improving KPIs, dashboards and management reporting.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, forecasting, planning and operational performance measurement.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP platforms such as Oracle to support operational decision making.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with experience delivering measurable change through data-led initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead operational teams while driving a culture of accountability and performance.
  • Experience supporting automation, digital transformation or AI-enabled operational improvements would be highly advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Lean / Six Sigma or APICS certification. (Desirable)
