As a Senior Engineer, Global Facilities Central Engineering - I&C at Micron, you will have the chance to lead world-class engineering projects and introduce modern AI solutions, digital transformation, and SMART Facilities initiatives. Your role plays a key part in maintaining and improving the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of our global facilities systems.
Offer Technical Support, Direction, and Expertise
- Provide consultation and assistance to Global, Regional, and Site Facilities and Manufacturing teams as the Technical Subject Matter Expert.
- Collaborate with internal partners, including Global Facilities, Site Facilities, Global Env Sustainability, SMAI, IT, TD, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Analyze system builds to identify improvements for performance, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Support sites with problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies.
- Benchmark internally and externally on Engineering Proven Approaches for Facilities buildings and systems.
- Maintain technical knowledge on industry standards, guidelines, trends, and technological advances in your subject area.
Provide Build and Construction Project Support, Leadership, and Expertise
- Support global, regional, and site-level Construction project teams in developing new large-scale Facilities Infrastructure Expansion projects.
- Develop and maintain Micron’s global Design and Construction Standards and Specifications.
- Build system design concepts for Control System Architecture, P&IDs, Sequence of Operations, and Functional Descriptions.
- Ensure project scopes meet customer needs and maintain communication with collaborators.
- Review build packages for compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.
- Monitor progress and support project cost and schedule estimates.
- Supervise and coordinate Consultant resources.
- Validate capacity planning databases and system operating trends.
- Lead capacity and scenario planning evaluations.
Offer assistance, direction, and proficiency in Global Initiatives Programs
- Develop and maintain O&M BKM focusing on Operations and Maintenance Reliability and Performance.
- Lead and define Global Facilities Programs & Initiatives, setting objectives and implementation plans.
- Drive the Global Facilities Digitalization and SMART Facilities Programs in line with the goals of the company.
- Champion Global Facilities Sustainability Programs to support corporate sustainability initiatives.
- Collect and integrate Lessons Learned from global teams into Micron Global Standards and BKMs.
AI Responsibilities
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and digital solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making in construction engineering and governance
- Identify and implement AI-driven process improvements within construction standards, planning, and execution
- Promote responsible and effective use of AI technologies aligned with organizational policies and legal requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering required
- Minimum 7 to 10-years experience in Semiconductor and/or Facilities related industry
- Technical expertise, knowledge, and experience on Facilities and Semiconductor Instrumentation and Controls systems, including I&C, FMCS, SCADA, Life Safety Systems, Toxic Gas Monitoring, Telecom, and Security systems, as well as the Controls interfaces with other Facilities Mechanical, Electrical, Process, and Building systems
- Ability to prioritize and schedule workload and work on multiple tasks concurrently
- Good organizational skills and Service demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good team working skills, English Required
- Self-motivated worker
- Familiarity with Semiconductor Manufacturing and Facilities systems
- Ability to travel internationally 15-25% of the time on average, but up to 30% of the time during Critical Project phases or Site Activities
