Job Description

Gain hands-on experience in project finance by supporting the review of project financials and developing an understanding of how project financial statements are prepared, monitored, and managed. You will perform basic financial and trend analysis, prepare statistical reports, and identify insights that support stronger financial governance and informed decision-making.

You will also contribute to the annual review and enhancement of finance policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation by analysing recurring trends and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Working closely with project delivery, finance, and business teams, you will gain exposure to project execution, commercial considerations, and how operational decisions influence revenue recognition, cost forecasting, and project profitability.

This internship offers valuable real-world experience in commercial finance, financial analysis, project governance, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement within a project-based business environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain/develop reports, dashboards, and management information to support decision-making.
• Contribute to the enhancement of finance policies, processes, and documentation through data-driven analysis.
• Collaborate with project delivery teams to understand commercial drivers and assess how operational decisions impact project financial performance.
• Assist in identifying financial risks, process gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial statements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI/data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Curious mindset with a willingness to learn commercial and project finance concepts.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with finance and cross-functional project teams.
