About the Role -

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused HR Employee Partner to support designated functions and business leaders in delivering their people strategy and achieving business objectives. 

Working in partnership with functional leadership teams, Centres of Excellence and HR colleagues, you will provide pragmatic people solutions that enable organisational performance, workforce capability and employee engagement.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will combine strong business partnering skills with operational HR expertise to support leaders through growth, organisational change, talent challenges and workforce planning. 

You will play a key role in translating business priorities into actionable people plans, using workforce insights and data to proactively identify opportunities and risks. The role balances strategic partnership with hands-on support alongside the HR Advisors within the assigned client group.  

This role is offered on a part-time basis (24 hours per week), typically across either Tuesday to Friday or Wednesday to Friday. You will have your own client relationships with designated functions but also operate alongside another HR Employee Partner to ensure effective coverage and continuity of service across non-working days. Occasional flexibility may be required to attend planned training sessions, team meetings or business activities that fall outside of the normal working pattern, with reasonable notice provided. 

Key Responsibilities -

• Partner with functional leaders to develop and deliver people plans aligned to business objectives. 
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing commercially focused guidance on workforce, organisational and people matters. 
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making to support business performance. 
• Use workforce data and insights to identify risks, opportunities and actions that improve organisational effectiveness. 
• Lead workforce planning activities, ensuring current and future capability needs are identified and addressed. 
• Support organisational design, restructures, consultations and transformation initiatives. 
• Coach leaders through change and support the successful implementation of people and business programmes. 
• Drive talent, succession and development planning to build future capability and leadership pipelines. 
• Coach and support managers to build high-performing, engaged and inclusive teams. 
• Champion employee engagement, wellbeing and a positive workplace culture, working closely with Centres of Excellence and global HR teams where needed to deliver people solutions. 
• Provide guidance/oversee complex employee relations matters and partner with the ER Partner on significant or high-risk cases ensuring legally compliant, fair and commercially balanced outcomes 
• Promote a positive employee relations environment and proactively identify and address emerging people risks. 
• Lead or contribute to HR projects, process improvement initiatives and change programmes including driving continuous improvement in people practices and employee experience. 
• Partner closely with HR Advisors, providing guidance, coaching and support to ensure consistent service delivery. 

About You -

Essential -

• Experience in a generalist HR Partner, Senior Advisor or HR Manager role. 
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. 
• Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to deliver people strategies. 
• Experience supporting organisational change, workforce planning and talent initiatives. 
• Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills. 
• Ability to use workforce data and insights to inform decision making. 
• Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills. 

Desirable -

• Experience supporting TUPE and restructuring activity. 
• Experience working in a matrixed organisation  
• Knowledge of unionised or security-cleared environments. 
• Experience leading HR projects or organisational change programmes.
