Perryman Construction Services is a respected Maine-based contractor specializing in excavation, underground utilities, site development, paving, and commercial construction. Serving local municipal, government, commercial, and residential clients, we have built our reputation on delivering high-quality work, maintaining strong customer relationships, and completing projects safely and efficiently.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Site Foreman to join our team in Lewiston, Maine. This is an opportunity for a proven field leader who enjoys being on the jobsite, working alongside the crew, operating equipment when needed, and taking ownership of project success from start to finish. If you're a practical problem solver who can lead by example, maintain high safety standards, and keep crews productive and motivated, you'll find long-term stability, new equipment, and the support needed to make an impact at Perryman Construction Services.
In this role you will supervise crews, ensure safety compliance, interpret plans, coordinate materials, and work with your PM to keep projects on schedule and within budget. You’ll serve as the key liaison between the crew, project managers, and owner representatives.

Requirement of the Site Foreman:
- 5+ years of experience as a foreman in site excavation or ground construction
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards
- Ability to read plan sets and operate key pieces of heavy equipment
- Leadership skills - able to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and make decisions under pressure
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent; construction management education is a plus
Responsibilities of the Site Foreman:
- Lead, train, and mentor crew members and subcontractors to maintain productivity and morale
- Plan and coordinate daily tasks schedules, and workflows
- Enforce all OSHA safety regulations, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure proper use of PPE
- Inspect work to ensure it meets plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Work with project manager (PM) on ordering materials, managing tools, and equipment maintenance.
- Provide clear daily progress reports to PM and owner representatives
- Read and interpret project plan sets and specifications to layout work for the crew
