JOB SUMMARY:
The Cybersecurity Engineer I supports cybersecurity engineering, compliance, and risk management activities for mission and enterprise systems. Working under the guidance of senior cybersecurity personnel, this role assists with security control implementation assessment, supporting vulnerability management, maintaining secure configurations, and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
The Cybersecurity Engineer I partners with systems, cloud, network, database, and infrastructure teams to assess cloud and on-prem systems against Impact Level 5 (IL5) and NSS cybersecurity controls, support vulnerability scanning and remediation analysis operations, as well as support system accreditation activities.
This project delivers a comprehensive cybersecurity assessment and migration of the as-is IL2 system to the to-be IL5 AWS GovCloud environment while preserving operational capability. The work will be performed 100% remotely.
