Role Objective
Work closely with contract manufacturers (CM), vendors, and suppliers to develop test plans, design and maintain test equipment, manual or automated test execution, resolve manufacturing test issues, as well as test line bring up.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams and CMs to create and improve manufacturing test procedures and resolve manufacturing test issues
- Bring Up new CM using standard/proven manufacturing processes
- Support internal operations, root cause analysis, and escalate issues to hardware and software engineering teams to drive continuous improvement
- Resolve technical issues related to manufacturing, test fixture design/fabrication/bring up
- Streamline manufacturing processes to improve efficiency
- Create standard operating procedures (SOP) for manufacturing testing and drive continuous improvements
- Support internal repair teams and escalate issues to engineering team as needed

Skills/Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering
- 4+ years experience working with CMs in manufacturing field with focus on manufacturing testing and test methodology and software development
- Familiarity with Linux and ChromeOS operating systems
- Ability to write simple test scripts using bash, python
- Ability to read electrical schematics, CAD drawings
- Experience with debugging circuits with embedded software and log analysis
- Experience with test automation, test equipment such as oscilloscope, Digital Multimeters (DMM), etc
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Good skills to have
- Ability to solder through-hole and SMT parts
- Experience working with basic hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, torque wrenches, etc for mechanical assembly and prototyping
